The Rastafari movement arose in 1930s’ Jamaica as a pseudo-religious spiritual movement which embraced the use of marijuana & the growing of ones’ hair into thick plaits called ‘dreadlocks’. Many ‘Rastafarians’ or ‘Rastas’ are noticeable for this unique hairstyle.
The followers of this movement worshipped the Ethiopian Emperor Haille Selassie I, believing him to be a reincarnation of Jesus Christ, or as God himself. The actual name is an amalgam of Ras Tafari a pre-coronation term of address for the soon-to-be emperor; where the word ‘Ras’ translates from the old Ethiopian as meaning something akin to ‘Duke’. As a whole phrase, ‘Ras Tafari’ can then be taken to mean ‘King-In-Waiting’.
To some Rastafarians, the word ‘Jah’ added to rastafari is taken to mean ‘God on Earth’, while others interpret it as ‘Gods King on Earth’. ‘Jah’ is a bastardization of the ancient Hebrew ‘Ya Weh ‘ (God).

Returns
Our no hassle returns policy is valid for 28 days from receipt of an item
(40 days for international orders).
We accept returns if you want to change it for a different size or colour, you are not happy with the item or you have just changed your mind.
