Found in a multitude of cultures & traditions throughout the world, the ‘Green Man’ is often depicted as a forest-oriented vegetative deity/spirit. He is similar to the character central to the Old Man of the Woods myth. Although taking many forms, the most consistent & notable appear to show him composed entirely of leaves, or with leaves & vegetation spewing from his mouth. Also notable is his depiction as a human head with vegetation growing from his nostrils & ears.
He is widely interpreted as being a symbol of fertility, of rebirth & renaissance; thus he is a vernal entity who is associated with Spring, with the stirrings of life.
Although the Green Man is undoubtedly of pagan origin, carvings depicting the Green Man are often found in churches, some quite contemporary. The Green Man is still a popular name for English public houses.

Our no hassle returns policy is valid for 28 days from receipt of an item
(40 days for international orders).
We accept returns if you want to change it for a different size or colour, you are not happy with the item or you have just changed your mind.
